About Ella S.

As an English Language Assistant at the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, I create and apply engaging and accessible curriculum for primary students in Valencia, Spain. I evaluate their progress using qualitative and quantitative data metrics, and emphasize conversation practice as well as grammar, reading and phonetic skills. I enjoy working with a diverse and enthusiastic team of teachers and staff, and learning from their feedback and insights. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Spanish, and a certificate in Environmental Studies. I have a passion for experiencing new cultures and learning about the way we connect with each other through media. I have gained valuable experience in content creation, course promotion, and online platform management as a Communications Coordinator at Ceiba Foundation for Tropical Conservation, and as an Editorial Intern at Grace Influential and Plataforma PLACA. I have also developed strong leadership and interpersonal skills as a Campus Tour Guide Supervisor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I represented the university to diverse groups of prospective students and families, and led a team of tour guides in maintaining exceptional quality of tours. My goal is to pursue a career that combines my interests in media, education, and cross-cultural communication.
