ABOUT ELLA BEAUMONT
I am a qualified researcher with several years of experience in the field. I have experience of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, but specialise in the qualitative and have extensive experience in using research to understand user needs, experiences and behaviours.Through a combination of academic research, consumer research and government work I have experience in- working through a project and conducting user research using agile principles and the GDS service standards- choosing appropriate research methods for different research problems- applying a range of online and offline methods, including surveys, online and in-person interviewing, focus groups, workshops, card sorting, usability testing, content testing and pop up research- researching with a range of people, including those with accessibility needs- analysing (both independently and as a team), synthesising, and triangulating data- communicating and presenting research findings to a range of stakeholders and audiences- working with stakeholders to apply research findings to policy and project outcomes- writing for a range of audiences (government, academic, public)- planning and executing research across multiple project phases- mentoring and upskilling junior researchers
