ABOUT ELLA RODRIGUEZ
I’m a bilingual third-year Environmental and Energy Engineering student at Washington University in St. Louis, passionate about applying technical and analytical skills to real-world sustainability challenges. My background blends hands-on experience in computational modeling, environmental systems, and data analysis with a strong foundation in teamwork and leadership.Outside the classroom, I’ve worked extensively in the hospitality industry, where I’ve developed adaptability, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset. In my free time, you can find me broadcasting on KWUR 90.3 FM with my co-DJ or hiking in nearby state parks. I’m also deeply involved in WashU’s comedy scene — I serve as one of two head writers for Kids on Campus Live! sketch comedy, am a third-year member of K.A.R.L. Improv, and perform regularly with both of the university’s stand-up comedy clubs.I’m currently seeking internship opportunities in environmental engineering, energy systems and sustainability, or water resources and management, where I can contribute to mission-driven work with both technical expertise and creative, collaborative energy.
