ABOUT ELLA MALCOLM

After graduating with First Class Honours in Marketing and Management with Study Abroad from Newcastle University Business School, I have begun my career with Next as a Logistics Management Graduate in the HR Department.My degree gave me the chance to build strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills while exploring how people, processes and strategy work together to drive organisational success. As team leader for a group consultancy project with Northumberland Community Bank, I guided the team’s research and analysis, managed communication and deadlines, and presented recommendations to the client. This experience strengthened my ability to lead, collaborate and deliver results in a professional environment.Spending a year abroad at Monash University in Melbourne helped me grow in confidence and adaptability while developing cross cultural communication skills.I also gained hands-on experience in international retail, which developed my communication skills and adaptability while giving me valuable insight into the operations of a global business.Alongside this, I worked as a Student, Business and Study Abroad Ambassador at Newcastle University, which enhanced my organisation, public speaking and leadership abilities.For the past eight years I have also volunteered with the Yorkshire Choice Awards, supporting local charities through fundraising and event delivery. This has been a rewarding opportunity to contribute to my community while building long term commitment and teamwork.
