Founded in as a grassroots response to a housing crisis affecting Latino families in Athens, Casa de Amistad has grown into a trusted educational and community partner in the region. After obtaining 501(c)(3) status in 2008, the organization expanded its reach and impact, with a focus on adult education, literacy, and community empowerment. Our educational programs include- English as a Second Language (ESL)- GED preparation in Spanish - Spanish language classes Through inclusive and community-driven learning environments, Casa de Amistad supports individuals in building practical skills, confidence, and meaningful connections that strengthen personal growth and community integration. Today, Casa de Amistad advances opportunity and belonging through education and strong partnerships that contribute to a more connected, inclusive, and resilient Northeast Georgia.
