ABOUT ELKE STRENK

I’m a rising senior at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, double majoring in Finance and Accounting. Originally from Austin, Texas, I’ve loved immersing myself in Seattle’s dynamic environment and taking advantage of the hands-on learning opportunities it offers. This summer, I’m interning with Alvarez & Marsal in their Corporate Performance Improvement (CPI) practice, where I’ve developed a strong interest in consulting through exposure to multiple workstreams. I’ve supported a sourcing transformation project- contributing to vendor strategy, process mapping, and cost analysis. I’ve also taken part in internal business development initiatives and frequently use Excel to clean and structure data, build dynamic comparison tools, and conduct savings analyses that support strategic decision-making. On campus, I served as VP of Marketing for the Husky Sales Club and managed social media for several organizations, blending strategic communication with creative execution. I’ve also worked in sales at The Daily, planned events for student groups, and taught economics to first-year students- experiences that reflect my passion for leadership, collaboration, and creating impact across the UW community. I’m currently exploring opportunities in consulting, corporate strategy, and finance-and always enjoy connecting with others in these spaces!
