About Elizabeth Greer

Being a part of a close-knit Northwestern Mutual work-family my whole life has given me a deep understanding of the impact of our work. As the Chief Recruiting Officer for the Kentucky and Southern Indiana region, my mission is to help good people build a great quality of life through our impactful career opportunities. My conviction comes from growing up in a family where both of my parents enjoyed a career with Northwestern Mutual. Many of our vacations took us to development meetings and networking opportunities across the country, where I experienced the supportive family-like firm culture. The flexibility of the career allowed my parents to attend my school functions and sporting events. As a result, I saw how my parents could achieve work-life balance, impacting their clients, team members and philanthropic community. In choosing Northwestern Mutual for my career, I embrace our purpose to do meaningful work by changing the trajectory of someone\'s life and create a lasting legacy. The best part of my role is connecting with people – learning their background and hearing what brings them fulfillment. For some, that is expanding my network and making introductions to the many great community organizations in Louisville and Kentuckiana region. For students, that could be an introduction to our industry-leading internship that will provide them with hands-on experience in the role of a financial advisor while developing their hard and soft skills. For the professional who has an entrepreneurial mindset and wants to take ownership of their life, personally and professionally, while making an impact on others, that could be an introduction to the financial advisor career or our many other career paths at Northwestern Mutual.
