ABOUT ELIZABETH POWER
As the Founder of The Trauma Informed Academy, I have been helping individuals and organizations cope with change and heal from trauma through the trauma informed lens for over 30 years. I have a Masters of Education in Human Resources Development from Vanderbilt University and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification. I am also a published author and an Adjunct Instructor in Psychiatry at Georgetown University School of Medicine. My mission is to provide evidence-informed multidisciplinary blended learning that reduces the time, trauma, and cost of healing for those impacted by trauma and those who work with them. I leverage my expertise in workshop facilitation, adult learning, and emotional intelligence to create educational products that make a difference. I also collaborate with others with lived experience, as well as experts and stakeholders, to ensure that my work is relevant, accessible, and inclusive. My work is in use on every continent except Antarctica.
