About Elizabeth Roma Granda

I’ve lived in Manhattan for 40 years, and although I feel at home everywhere, this is my favorite place on earth. There’s a line in a film that goes, “I can never leave here! Where would I find good bagels?” I have to add: “and good pizza, good shopping and good company! “ I’m in love with the arts and have attended both the School of Visual Arts and Juilliard. After working in design, I supported myself as a full time actress for ten years; and I am a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild.One of the reasons why I love New York so much is the diversity. I am a real people person and truly love exploring new cultures. I’ve trekked the Himalayas, been blessed by Sadhus in Katmandu, rode horseback thru the Mojave desert with a Native American guide, sailed the Grand Canal in Venice, went beer tasting in Brussels, roamed the temples of Singapore, walked the streets of Pompeii, fed sharks in Aruba, climbed volcanoes in Costa Rica, played drums in a punk band, dug for dinosaurs in the Sierra Madre, climbed the towers atop the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, hiked the rainforest and cloud forest of Costa Rica, lived in London, danced with the locals in Capri, married a chef in Paris and adopted a baby in China….whew. That’s not even half of it! The bottom line is, I feel at home everywhere no matter where I live geographically, but I will always have the heart of a New Yorker.
