About Elizabeth Cottle

After traveling to Malawi and Haiti, I became extremely passionate about sustainable development as a means of addressing poverty and vulnerable populations, particularly by way of economic development and female empowerment. Working at both domestic and international organizations, I have gained perspectives and knowledge regarding the work being done on the ground, as well as at the macro level, to combat global poverty. I am looking to expand my experience in policy, after spending time analyzing the mechanisms of workforce development and international development advocacy, to merge my understanding of ground-level service, government involvement, and private commitments. My long-term goal is to be part of the process of creating inclusive, informed, and effective policy to ensure all individuals have the bandwidth to escape poverty.
