ABOUT ELIZABETH ZOOK
I serve as commercial real estate and business counsel to developers, financial institutions, landlords and individual land owners. This year marked my 10th year with Carruthers & Roth, P.A. I am a Board Certified Specialist in Real Property Law-Business, Commercial, and Industrial Transactions and have significant experience structuring, documenting and closing commercial real estate acquisition, development, leasing and financing transactions, both large and small. I have worked on an extensive range of projects including acquiring, selling, and refinancing senior living communities, shopping centers, apartment communities and medical office buildings in North Carolina, throughout the Southeast and on the West Coast. I also advocate for property owners and developers facing complex rezoning issues. I also have extensive experience representing financial institutions in foreclosures and in real estate finance transactions including acquisition loans and construction and real estate development lending. I handle all aspects of structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing loans and other real estate secured transactions. I also routinely work with the firm’s business, tax and litigation departments to address the corollary aspects of real estate, including choice of entity, business organization, litigation and taxation issues.
