About Elizabeth Winkel
I am a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, double majoring in Biology and History with a concentration in American History with a minor in American Indian and Indigenous Studies. I have long been passionate about the stories of those around me, and I chose my paths of study to reflect my interest in meaningful work for my community. I have a strong interest in Public Health, as well as Infectious Diseases, with plans to pursue a Medical degree and a Master\'s in Public Health. I believe listening to the stories of those around you and taking time for meaningful relationship building should be a core tenet of healthcare, and I hope to contribute to this. I have found fulfillment in working in Hospice and Palliative care as a volunteer, harm reduction through SHAC SSP, and reproductive education with RAUNCHy. I hope to add more enriching experiences as I dive further into my undergraduate career!
