Experience

  1. Equity & Engagement Coach

    The Schenectady Foundation

May 2024 — Present · Schenectady, NY, US

As The Schenectady Foundation\'s Equity & Engagement Coach, I provide leadership to the Foundation’s community initiatives intended to support community-driven systems change, in service of ONE Schenectady. ONE Schenectady is a movement, not a program - a collective effort that emerged organically from the work of Schenectady County leaders and organizations during the COVID outbreak. ONE Schenectady is about creating systemic, transformative change. It is Community-Driven by highly engaged residents. And it is guided by those closest to community challenges, where programs are co-created with the affected community. As a convener and catalyst, the Foundation supports the ONE Schenectady Community Change Council and the Schenectady County Food Council. As a staff member at the Foundation, I provide support, as needed, with strategy development, meeting facilitation, communications, evaluation, training, and other forms of technical assistance. As an engaged neighbor of Schenectady, I actively participate in the ONE Schenectady movement, both as a member of and SCFC, and as a Communications Chair of the Electric City Community Grocery, a people-powered movement to open a community-owned, democratically governed grocery store in downtown Schenectady.
