I work with universities to build practical, proportionate research security and export-control programs that meet evolving federal expectations while supporting academic collaboration and innovation.My career spans leadership roles at Purdue University, the University of Michigan, and The Ohio State University, where I helped design and operationalize research security, export-control, and international engagement governance. I focus on integrating compliance with the academic mission—clear processes, transparent standards, and support that helps researchers do their work confidently.Now, as an Advisor to Strider, I help institutions interpret emerging requirements, benchmark against best practices, and strengthen their research-security posture in a rapidly changing environment.My approach is collaborative and grounded in the realities of university operations. I care about building systems that work, supporting faculty, and helping institutions navigate risk without sacrificing the values that define higher education.
