ABOUT ELIZABETH STANISH
I\'m currently a senior at Yale University majoring in Computer Science. I am passionate about the intersection of performing arts and technology and look to create ways to use technology to enhance connection through art. I also strive to increase accessibility and gender inclusivity in tech through awareness and teaching. In Yale\'s computer science department, I am an Undergraduate Learning Assistant for several core computer science classes and currently do research on ways to make robots more accessible and socially aware. Additionally, I am a member of Yale CS\'s Department Student Advisory Committee, where I communicate student needs, concerns, and ideas to the department through community building events, curriculum planning, and new initiatives. I entered Yale as a first-year with no coding experience but found a passion for coding through the help of many upperclassmen, and I work in these roles to help build confidence in students new to coding.I also have a deep love and passion for theater at Yale. I\'ve worked on many student-led theater productions and currently serve as president of the Yale Dramatic Association, Yale\'s largest undergraduate theater organization. Theater empowers me to take risks and share meaningful stories, and I strive to create an inclusive, exciting, and innovative space for student theater makers across Yale\'s campus.
