About Elizabeth Shum
Originally from Louisiana, I am a junior at Elon University. I have developed a wide range of skills from my part-time careers and volunteering experiences. I am results-oriented and self-driven, offering well-developed problem-solving capabilities from various extracurricular activities. I have enjoyed stepping up to lead students through advocacy and empowerment. My three years working as an assignment coordinator and center assistant have taught me how to work efficiently and with accuracy. In my position, I was able to develop responsibility, reliability, and diligence for the work I carried out. I grew in my position, building a strong community skill set with students, coworkers, and parents. Since high school, I have carried out many research projects on environmental legislation and projects with behavioral economics. I am passionate about working in environmental sustainability along the UN goals. I look forward to collaborating with organizations and companies to continue this project beyond college.
