ABOUT ELIZABETH SEGER
I am a Senior Policy Advisor at the Tony Blair Institute leading our work on global AI governance. Our work aims to harness the benefits of AI for people, in alignment with public values and needs, while mitigating associated risks. Previously I was the Director of Digital policy at Demos where I work to bridge divides in contentious tech debates in order to work towards productive policy solutions infomed by public insights and values. Prior to that I was a researcher at the Centre for the Governance of AI (London) focused on the democratisation of AI and open-source AI governance. I hold a PhD in Philosophy of Science and Technology from the University of Cambridge, where I remain a research affiliate with the AI: Futures and Responsibility (AI:FAR) project, and a BSc in Bioethics from UCLA.
