My practice focuses on international cartel and criminal matters, government and internal investigations, and complex litigation.For 16 years, I was a trial lawyer for the US Department of Justice and served as an Assistant Chief in the Antitrust Division from 2012 – 2014, where I led several large-scale investigations into bribery, money laundering, major fraud, tax and antitrust violations. In 2014, I was detailed to serve as the DOJ’s Visiting International Enforcer to the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DGCOMP) in Brussels.As part of my practice, I assist companies, financial institutions, and individuals facing enforcement actions, prosecutions, and investigations initiated by federal and state agencies and departments, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Department of Justice (DOJ), United States Attorneys and grand juries, Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and State Attorneys General. I handle cross-border matters involving overseas regulators and enforcers such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Serious Fraud Office (SFO), Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), and the European Commission (DGCOMP).
