I have worked on defense and security issues from a wide-range of perspectives, with assignments in the White House National Security Council\'s Asia Office and Office of the Secretary of Defense\'s Office of Global Threats, Asia Policy, Space Policy, and Cyber Policy. My work has been focused on assessing risks and identifying opportunities to transform organizations and international relationships. Among my career highlights are my negotiations on international agreements that generated lasting national security impacts; my efforts to provide support to affected countries after the 2004 South and Southeast Asia tsunami; my efforts to implement significant changes affecting the special operations enterprise; and my work to advance U.S-Vietnam relations. I bring expertise in U.S. Government decision-making; Asian economic and security affairs; defense policy; budget and programming; and strategy development. I was born in Vietnam and am bilingual in English-Vietnamese, I will always want to improve my beginner knowledge of Japanese and French.
