Work with appropriate university personnel, participate in long-range planning efforts to ensure that Museum exhibits and functions fully support university goals and initiatives. Manage all aspects of exhibition development, layout, design, and production producing a minimum of three exhibitions yearly. Direct all aspects of events, education, publication, and promotion in conjunction with exhibition programming. Develop and oversee all policy and procedure including exhibition contracts, loan agreements, budgets, and disaster preparedness. Manage grant writing, seek funding and establish relationships with potential funders. Oversee collections care and stewardship, acquisitions and deaccessions. Liaison with development to solicit and receive gifts, facilitate purchases, develop client relations. Manage all staff, students, volunteers, and interns.Ten major projects have been realized during Peterson Jennings’ tenure from 2012 to the present (OUMA Collects, Research Center, Security Upgrade, Five-Minute-Museum, Accessibility Upgrade, Museum to You, Internship Program, Satellite Galleries, Offsite Storage, Collectors Systems, Museum Studies).
