ABOUT ELIZABETH PAIGE WHITE
Elizabeth Paige White is currently an Associate Attorney at DiCello Levitt and is ofcounsel at Ben Crump Law. Elizabeth handles civil rights cases with a particular focus on police brutality and wrongful death cases. As a former staff attorney at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, Elizabeth handled serious felony adult and juvenile cases in the District of Columbia. The bulk of Elizabeth\'s case load were serious cases that involved narcotics and guns. Elizabeth was lead counsel in a juvenile murder case as well as co-counsel in a double homicide case. Elizabeth litigated several preliminary hearings that lead to a no probable cause finding and subsequent dismissal, several of these cases involved video taped evidence. Elizabeth also litigated the horrific conditions at the DC jail as well. As a public defender in New York City, Elizabeth tried approximately over a dozen cases ranging from drug possession and sale cases to sex abuse and assault cases. Elizabeth delved deeply into the lives of her clients in order to gather mitigating information in order to reach a disposition that rehabilitates clients rather than punishes them. Elizabeth wrote extensive legal motions arguing nuanced and complex criminal law issues in New York City. During her tenure in law school Elizabeth was involved in a number of organizations. Notably, Elizabeth earned membership onto the University of Florida Trial Team and emerged as a Final Four Advocate - the only woman to hold that title in 2014. Elizabeth\'s work experience include an internship with the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, an internship on Capitol Hill with Congresswoman Frederica Wilson\'s office and working at the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. Elizabeth graduated from Temple University with a bachelors degree in Political Science and Sociology. During college, Elizabeth was a Division 1 athlete on the track and field team and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
