I love being a creative problem solver. I concentrate on resolving tort and commercial disputes for companies in various industries including energy, automotive, industrial, recreational, and financial. I enjoy working with clients, lawyers, and courts across the country, and I find that most of the disputes I handle cannot be resolved with a one-size-fits-all strategy. thank goodness, my job is never boring! In particular, I have significant experience defending manufacturers and suppliers subject to tort and product liability claims. As lead trial counsel, I represent one of our nation\'s largest electric utility companies in wrongful death and significant personal injury litigation. I also have defended manufacturers of motorcycles, off-road vehicles, personal watercraft, automotive parts, drugs, vitamins, medical devices, beverages, and heavy-lifting equipment. I especially enjoy developing a manufacturer’s defense by learning about the product, how it was designed, evaluated, approved for sale, and how it benefits the end user. I also represent companies in commercial disputes such as breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, trademark or trade dress infringement, false advertising and unfair competition. Whether I am working with a family-owned business or an international financial institution, I understand the importance of protecting their assets, including their brand, reputation, product or service, real or intellectual property. We are always prepared to resolve disputes through litigation, but often, the best solution for our clients comes through creative negotiation outside of the courtroom.
