At George Brown College I provide a high standard of services to students and employers. I contribute to and play a key role in the coordination of co-op placements in the School of Business. I plan and deliver the co-op prep course and participate in the administration and coordination of students’ activities surrounding the co-op preparation and work-term courses each semester. I have developed quality work‐term learning opportunities by developing industry contacts, marketing the programs to suitable employers and securing placements for students. Working one‐on‐one with students to establish realistic goals in relation to existing labour markets and develop labour market relevant technical skills to better market themselves. I support students by providing career support services including job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing techniques, interview skills and workplace conduct; and approve co‐op job descriptions.
