About Elizabeth McKenzie
Provide superior law library services on unavoidably thrifty budgets. Manage budgets with long-term planning. Teach legal research in practice-oriented methods, helping students absorb and give a context for the subject. Plan for the changes that computerized research is bringing to the practice of law. Try to make it all fun for me and those who work with me! Specialties: academic budget planning, legal research, personnel, effects of information technology on culture and the brain. Planning library buildings, moving libraries - I helped build the Suffolk law building and moved the library. Because I actually practiced law, had jury trials, and appeals, I bring a practical slant to my teaching and library work. I also had my own business for a while, offering research services. It gives a different perspective on how things work.
