About Elizabeth Krisher

Betsy began her public accounting career in 1985 and joined Maher Duessel in 1991. She is the current Chairman of the firm, having served previously in the CEO/Managing Partner role, and has extensive experience serving as an audit partner for non-profits and local governments. Client types include human service providers, associations, arts/humanities organizations, municipalities, municipal authorities, school districts, community development organizations, foundations, libraries, religious entities. Krisher has served on several committees of the AICPA, including past service to the AICPA Not-for-Profit Section Advisory Council and past service to the AICPA’s Tax Resource Panel for Exempt Organizations. Krisher served as the President of the Pennsylvania CPA state society (PICPA) for the 20••••24 year and as a member of the AICPA-convened National Pipeline Advisory Group. A graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh, Krisher also volunteers her time with Board service for the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. She speaks regularly for the AICPA and various other organizations on not-for-profit accounting and tax matters.
