About Elizabeth Herzer

I’ve spent more than 20 years building in demanding growth environments—from early DSL startups to BellSouth, AT & T, Salesforce, and SAP.That background taught me how to build momentum in very different conditions: in new markets without brand leverage, inside large institutions, and in enterprise environments where trust, strategy, and execution had to align. It taught me how to earn credibility, build meaningful relationships, and help people make important decisions in complex environments.A couple of years ago, I stepped off the corporate track to recalibrate what I wanted to build next. Over the next 2+ years, I pushed myself well beyond familiar territory and into demanding environments that tested composure, judgment, and adaptability in ways my career had never done before. I summited peaks, descended the Inca Trail in the dark and rain, and once took a breath from my regulator underwater and got saltwater instead of air. Experiences like that teach you quickly that fear is real, panic makes things worse, and composure matters most when conditions are uncertain. That period reinforced something I trust deeply now: I stay composed under pressure, I adapt quickly when conditions change, and I do not need certainty to keep moving forward.I also made intentional investments to accelerate my next chapter, including spending time in rooms led by Ed Mylett and Keith Ferrazzi, because I wanted to shorten the learning curve, strengthen the quality of my relationships, and get more precise about the kind of business and life I wanted to build. It also clarified something I now deeply believe: most people stay too long in systems they’ve outgrown. I knew I wanted to build work rooted in ownership, alignment, and long-term value. We are living in a time when uncertainty is real, and the gap between reactive and prepared people is widening. Some people wait and hope things work out. Others make deliberate decisions, reduce blind spots, and create better options for themselves and the people they care about. That is the work I care about.Today, through The Miliare Group, I help clients, strategic partners, and future builders prepare more intentionally, protect what matters, and create stronger foundations for what comes next. What I bring is a combination of startup grit, enterprise discipline, and the ability to move decisively when the path is not obvious.I’m interested in working with people who want to think clearly, act intentionally, and build something real.

Experience

  1. Financial Strategist

    The Miliare Group

Jun 2025 — Present · Houston, TX, US

I spent 20+ years mastering enterprise-level strategy. Today, I use that experience to help individuals, families, and professional practices build stronger financial foundations, protect what they\'ve built and create something that belongs to them.Private Client StrategyMost people were never shown how money really works — and that gap can cost far more than they realize. The brutal truth? By the time most people realize what they’ve missed, it’s too late to recover lost ground. Time moves in one direction, and you can’t get it back.I work with clients across the income spectrum, from those just beginning to build a foundation to high-net-worth individuals focused on protection, legacy, and wealth coordination. By working with over 190 A+ rated providers, I build strategies around the client’s goals — not the limitations of a single firm. For clients who already have coverage or an existing advisor, I see that as a starting point, not proof they’re fully protected. Even well-structured plans can have blind spots. An objective review often reveals gaps, inefficiencies, and missed opportunities to strengthen the strategy.Strategic PartnershipsI partner with trusted professionals — realtors, CPAs, business advisors, and others — who know their clients often need more than what one lane alone can solve. What I bring does not compete with their core business; it expands the value they can offer. When a client benefits from a broader strategy, they receive a more complete solution, the strategic partner creates an additional income stream, and none of it requires extra work outside their lane.Leadership & Talent DevelopmentI mentor high performance professionals who want more control over their future than a traditional corporate path can offer. For some, this evolves into a full-time business. For others, it starts alongside their existing career — creating another income stream, broader skill set, and a platform they own without requiring an immediate leap.
