ABOUT ELIZABETH GOMES

Aspiring architect and 4th-year undergraduate student at the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture with a strong passion for design-build and hands-on construction methods. My work bridges the gap between conceptual design and practical execution, shaped by immersive experiences both in the studio and on the field. From building a community amphitheater in Costa Rica with Taller Ken to interning at firms like Bagchee Architects and Berman Horn Studio, I’ve taken on roles that required me to wear multiple hats — from design development to managing workflows on-site. These experiences deepened my appreciation for architecture as a collaborative, iterative process that demands precision, adaptability, and foresight. As a Teaching Assistant for a construction and design studio, I also help mentor emerging designers through technical challenges, reinforcing my own knowledge of materials, detailing, and spatial problem-solving. With a growing interest in project management, I strive to bring together design integrity with clear communication and well-organized execution. I’m currently exploring opportunities where I can further develop my skills in architectural detailing, construction management, and integrated project delivery. Always looking for the next challenge that combines creativity with tangible outcomes.
