ABOUT ELIZABETH GENEL

Elizabeth has joined Ever/body as the Head of People and Community where she is crafting and driving a pioneering, high-performance and engaging People and Culture practice. Elizabeth was most recently at Lashify, where she was the interim Chief People Officer. At Lashify, she created the people strategy and set out to build a best-in-class team and values-based culture. Elizabeth has spent her entire career in the beauty industry, except for a brief hiatus she took to go to law school. No matter what her job description has been, her focus has always been on bringing out the best in people, hand-picking the most vibrant talent to help drive innovation and growth, and creating onboarding processes, experiences, and training programs to ensure their success. Entrepreneurial by nature, she founded JD’s Cosmetic Essentials, a chain of luxury cosmetic boutiques in 1997, pre-dating Sephora, Bluemercury and Ulta. At JD’s she redefined what a luxury beauty buying experience should feel like. She developed an industry-leading sales and service training program for her teams, teaching them to help customers learn how to look and feel their best. She took that experience with her to Bare Minerals, Fresh and Elemis, where she led global education content development and training teams across multiple continents. Elizabeth has been featured in WWD, Town & Country, Allure, Lucky, NY Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
