About Elizabeth Etherington
As the Research Program Administrator / Facilitator, I lead the administrative efforts for sponsored research development within the College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) and the Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station (AES); develop research groups specific to unique funding opportunities and for ongoing formula funding; develops policies and procedures; and provides resources and direction.It is my responsibility to be aware of programs that contribute to competitive capacity of our researchers in obtaining external grants. I maintain an in-depth knowledge of university and granting agency requirements, and proposal and award processes and issues, and confer with grant and contract administrators and external funding agencies to clarify rules and guidelines and explain as necessary. It is my goal to make the grant application process as smooth as possible for those seeking to develop, support, and expand their research programs.
