About Elizabeth Cornell
Black Iris Art Studio continues to be a work in progress! The downstairs is all for work in clay, stone, wax and metal and upstairs we have drawing, painting, and film. This past summer was very busy, and this year promises to be great! Had one more class at the Carving Studio. you guessed it - bronze casting - followed by ceramics classes offered to the summer program at the Warren Village School in Warren, NH, and the PALS Program, at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA. In early August I attended a teachers workshop run by the Inspired Classroom which was very wonderful - and learned a lot about puppetry and integrating dance, music and theater in the curriculum. And in mid August my second session of Artensity took place. Artensity is a two week intensive art program for young teens - and I am in the process of getting their work on-line. Next year I will have two sessions - one in June for rising 7th and 8th graders, and one in August for rising 9th and 10th graders. And somehow I will also fit my own work in - but really - it\'s all about them!
