I am an accomplished financial services attorney, with over twenty years experience holding senior positions managing litigation, regulatory interactions, inquiries and investigations for prestigious firms, including as Deputy General Counsel for Citadel’s hedge fund business and Citadel Securities LLC, the electronic trading firm/broker-dealer, America’s Head of Civil Litigation at Barclays and Litigation Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell. I have also served as Global General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a FinTech/SAAS startup.I have a proven track record of successfully leading teams through complex and high profile regulatory inquiries, investigations and litigation, including: matters arising from the Lehman bankruptcy, Barclays’ Lehman acquisition and the 20••••09 global financial crisis; distressed debt litigation; the Flash Crash; insider trading; scrutiny of market maker and electronic trading practices, including payment for order flow; the Robinhood/Gamestop Meme Stock controversy; regulatory probes into Block Trades; Reg SHO and FINRA Rules; and, cryptocurrency matters.I have participated in a variety of industry groups working on salient initiatives for registered invesement advisers, in particular those related to the implementation and interpretation of SEC rules and related regulations (most recently, the new and amended SEC Private Fund rules and recently adopted amendments to Form PF).
