Within the Life Insurance business at Corebridge Financial, I’m focused on transforming our Underwriting function to our future vision and becoming stronger partners with our distributors. The promises we make – to be there for a policyholder’s family should they suffer a tragic loss – these promises change lives. After all, we help people in the time of their life when they need us the most, and this is one of the reasons I find my work so meaningful. I believe we are all in the customer experience business whether we directly interact with customers or not. So rather than ask, “What did you do today?” I prefer asking, “Who did you get to help today?” For those of us who work in the life insurance industry, we could say, “I helped keep a woman’s dreams for the future alive. Her family is going to stay in their home and the bills are getting paid. Even though she’s no longer living, her family is going to be okay.” That’s a pretty great thing I get to do at work each day.I believe my focused, yet calm and flexible leadership style creates environments where cross-organizational teamwork and collaboration become the keys to our success. I’ve learned that successful leaders are those who can adjust their style and find a happy middle ground in every situation.
