ABOUT ELIZABETH CLAYDON

Passionate public health professional and Assistant Professor with a focus on eating disorders and mental health research and advocacy. Skilled in Eating Disorders and Mental Health Research, Epidemiology, Quantitative & Qualitative Research, Prevention/Interventions, Science Writing,Program Evaluation, Psychological Assessment, and Childhood Obesity Research. My research is also very translation-based as well as focused on community-engaged research. I take the philosophy that those with lived experiences are best suited to help me understand their unique experiences in either qualitative research or in community-engaged research. To that end, I also adopt a transformative framework in my qualitative research, understanding that knowledge operates on an unequal power balance and therefore knowledge construction should be used to help others.
