ABOUT ELIZABETH BRAHIN
I\'m a rising junior from downtown Chicago studying Applied Math and Economics. During my time at Harvard, I\'ve interned on the revenue team at GitHub, done strategy research at Harvard Business School, and managed the online store for the multi-million dollar student-run Harvard Shop (HSA). I am currently Co-President of the Chicagoland Area Students of Harvard, an Executive Board Member for Harvard Smart Woman Securities, on the Career Development Committee for Harvard Women in Business, and a member of the Harvard Innovation Labs. I\'m also passionate about education, and outside of Harvard, I\'m an Advisor and Board Member for two 501(c)(3) nonprofits: 1) Queens United Chess, an organization I co-founded that works alongside Chicago Public Schools and Chess.com (ChessKid) to bridge the gender divide and remove the cost barriers to chess, and 2) the Junior Economic Club, a national organization equalizing access to the business world, funded by Magnetar Capital and Sam Zell\'s Zell Family Foundation. Previously, I led a citywide financial literacy magazine that served tens of thousands of teens throughout Chicago through financial literacy resources, presentations, and publications.
