About Elizabeth Boudris
Elizabeth joined Cain International as General Counsel in 2017 and is responsible for the firm’s legal and compliance matters. Elizabeth was instrumental in preparing the firm for registration as a registered investment adviser with the SEC, and became the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer in 2018. Elizabeth also looks after human capital matters at Cain International, and participated in the recent overhaul of the firm’s policies, procedures and recruiting processes. Elizabeth has over eight years’ experience in financial services and investment management. Prior to Cain International, Elizabeth was in-house counsel at Eldridge Industries, a private investment firm with investments across a wide variety of industries, including real estate, hospitality and entertainment, media, and insurance. Prior to Eldridge Industries, Elizabeth was in-house counsel at Cain Hoy Enterprises, the predecessor firm to Cain International, where she drafted and negotiated transaction documentation in connection with debt and equity real estate investments, and advised on and supported the origination of over $1bn in construction and development finance. Elizabeth also structured the acquisition of controlling and minority stakes in strategic joint ventures and operating businesses.Elizabeth began her legal career on the leveraged credit desk at Guggenheim Investments, the global asset management and investment advisory division of Guggenheim Partners.Elizabeth graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in English, and received a J.D. from The University of Richmond. She was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 2010 and is registered as in-house counsel in New York. She earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation in 2013.
