About Elizabeth Bouchard

I’m an undergraduate at Bowdoin College majoring in Biochemistry and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, with interests at the intersection of molecular biology, genetics, and reproductive health. My work is driven by a desire to connect rigorous scientific research with lived experience and healthcare equity.I have hands-on research experience in a genetics fly lab, where I built a strong foundation in experimental design, data analysis, and critical thinking. I’ve also worked as a chemistry lab assistant, supporting students in developing technical confidence and fostering collaborative, inclusive learning environments.Outside the lab, I’m actively involved in reproductive health advocacy as a leader in the Bowdoin Reproductive Justice Coalition, where I work to promote access, education, and bodily autonomy. I’ve also gained clinical exposure as an orthopedic intern, strengthening my interest in patient-centered medicine.As I prepare for postgraduate opportunities, I’m excited to continue working in research and healthcare spaces that value curiosity, care, and impact.
