About Eliza S.

I’m a trauma-responsive, equity-driven, Higher Ed leader and survivor advocate who believes campuses must be places of safety, belonging, and brave honesty.Direct survivor support is central to my role. I specialize in Title IX and restorative and nontraditional justice, guiding individuals through complex processes with clarity, care, and respect. I help survivors navigate systems, identify the options that best support their needs, and reclaim their agency. Through formal procedures, transformative approaches, and community-centered pathways, I support students, staff, and faculty—anyone impacted by sexual violence, along with those who care about them. I also serve as a circle keeper for 12-week indigenous-traditions-based healing circles focused on adult LGBTQIA+ folx who survived childhood sexual abuse, co-creating spaces where voices are witnessed and honored. As a narrative strategist, I help nonprofit teams craft trauma-responsive stories that elevate survivor voices, build awareness, and engage communities. I teach them how to use ethical storytelling to make their messages clear, accessible, and actionable, ensuring their work reaches and resonates with those who need it most.My approach is grounded not only in policy and systems design but also in contemplative practice. As an Instinctive Meditation® and iRest® Yoga Nidra instructor, I understand how trauma shapes the nervous system, informing how I support survivors, train teams, and design institutional responses that are both accountable and humane. At the center of all my work are three beliefs:1. Dignity, choice, and real options for survivors are not optional—they are the foundation for individual and communal healing and transformation.2. Joy is an act of resistance.3. Together, we can end sexual violence. If your work aligns with survivor support, justice, campus culture change, or meditation, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
