The responsibility is for the effective management of tax audits, litigation, notices, assessments, and UTPs (uncertain tax positions) that would trigger tax reserves under ASC-740 (FIN48) for Walmart Inc. the parent company. Analysis, review and tax assistance to local country market jurisdictions where Walmart has as in-country presence, such as China, Canada, India, Latin America, Mexico, EMEA, APAC, Luxenburg, BVI, South Africa,Global Sourcing and Global Holding Companies. Tax issues range in complexity on tax impacts, ETRs, and R&O tax analysis on taxable and non-taxable events, M&A, tax audit defense and mitigation, international tax planning advisory, transfer pricing, inter-company loans, labor secondment, inventory, and other Wal-Mart global operational activities, both direct and indirect taxes for all Walmart entities globally.
