In this role, I am privileged to create an inclusive, developmentally supportive environment for children ages four and five in the Outdoor Pre-K/Kindergarten classroom. In collaboration with Master Teachers, I provide hands-on assistance in classrooms requiring additional support, aligning with the Lab School’s mission of excellence in early childhood education.My responsibilities include guiding and directing play, designing engaging activities, and ensuring smooth routines and transitions. I am deeply committed to offering social-emotional support helping children build critical skills for self-regulation, confidence, and positive interactions. Through these efforts, I help foster a nurturing learning environment where children feel supported and valued.Immersed in a setting emphasizing research-based best practices, inclusive teaching, and innovative curriculum development, I have gained hands-on experience in child-centered learning, mindfulness practices, and nature-based education. I have also developed strong skills in communication, adaptability, and collaboration by working closely with children and a dedicated team of professionals.
