About Elise Johnson
People often joke that the world doesn\'t need anymore attorneys; I could not disagree more. The summer after my first year of law school, I worked for the San Diego County Department of Child Support Services (DCSS). While working for DCSS I learned how to write motion responses, Ex Parte applications, and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders. My time working with DCSS solidified my desire to work within my community and for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Additionally, this past summer I began working for the University of San Diego Athletics Office of Compliance. During my time working for USD have been able to advise coaches and student-athletes on Title IX compliance rules, recruiting regulations, and various NCAA academic requirements. With that said, the main lesson I have learned while in law school is that the world most definitely needs more compassionate and conscientious attorneys, and I plan to be one of them!
