About Elise Craig
After eight years as a freelance writer and editor in IDEO\'s marketing department, I\'m thrilled to have joined the design company full time as Editorial Director, telling the stories behind the incredible work our clients and designers do. Over the last year, I\'ve helped our designers craft stories about our work through case studies and thought leadership pieces, edited our newsletter and social media, and put together a print magazine for clients, nearly doubling our content pipeline. On the side, I freelance, contributing regularly to The New York Times for Kids, a Sunday section of the paper for readers between 8 and 14, and writing for titles including The New York Times Magazine, Vox, and others. I love coming up with story ideas and creative concepts for projects and packages.In the past, I served as Director of Editorial Operations and Strategy at Pop-Up Magazine, a live magazine show that toured the country, as well as Managing Editor at San Francisco magazine and an Assistant Research Editor at Wired. One hundred million years ago, I started my first job as a news producer on the breaking newsdesk of washingtonpost.com.
