I am currently a master\'s student in Management Science and Engineering (MSE) at Columbia University, with a Bachelor\'s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iceland. The MSE program is offered jointly by Columbia Engineering and Columbia Business School. It emphasizes both management and engineering perspectives in solving problems, making decisions, and managing risks in complex systems. I am passionate about using engineering perspectives to drive business success, and I believe the systematic approach engineers use when solving problems can be very effective in a business setting. During my studies, I will be focusing on analytics, optimization, strategy, consulting, and operations management, since my interests mainly lie within those fields. My previous professional experience includes finance, sustainability, sales, and service. Through the years I have thus gained experience in many different sectors.
