I am a detail-oriented, problem-solving entrepreneur, with experience as a small business owner, as well as in program development and coordination in both the government and non-profit sectors. My career objectives include improving the lives of people in my community by increasing access to sustainable services, connecting people with cultural and natural resources, and building community pride through citizen involvement. My hometown of Hillsboro, Oregon is where I find my passion and joy, and anything that makes it an even better place to live and do business is my priority.

   This role has given me the opportunity to access local, state, and federal resources in the development of a community-based organization that serves to elevate the efforts of individuals and organizations to cultivate a vibrant, diverse community- Guiding the organization through several transitions in funding sources, strategy, mission, location moves, and organizational models- Coordinating the development of an outreach program that included a website redevelopment project, social media best practices, an idea management platform, and a volunteer engagement program- Facilitating the adoption of internal and external communication channels and tools with a variety of stakeholders, including buildout of partner relationship database and an organizational style guide- Leading the ongoing buildout of a collaborative incubator space for community-based organizations working in the creative and cultural realms- Piloting and then growing a supportive employment program to address the needs of our community while assisting six employees with barriers to employment in their personal and professional growth.
