ABOUT ELISA WILLIAMS WARREN
Blending hands-on experience as a medical provider and mentor in the US and internationally, I am passionate about developing the skills and capabilities of healthcare providers. I also have extensive experience taking care of patients and families in primary care, travel and occupational health, emergency, and wilderness medical settings.Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to training and mentoring healthcare professionals. Along with treating patients and managing public health programs, I have had the opportunity to develop and deliver online and in-person courses at two universities and serve as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner and physician assistant students. Furthermore, I developed and delivered training on Western medicine to “traditional healers” in Nepal, instructing monks/nuns in the delivery of vaccines, disease prevention, and sterile wound care. I am a strong advocate for patient education and empowerment. I dedicate myself to ensuring patients can make informed decisions about their health conditions and treatment plans, including walking them through all aspects of their diagnosis and ensuring they have support as they deal with both chronic and acute conditions.
