The project includes a flexible patient room design with an open, distributed nursing model. The engineering systems include custom air handling units, energy recovery systems, and integration of prefabricated components including headwalls, bathroom groups, and multi-trade overhead rack assemblies. The project implemented Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) tools such as Big Room, and Total Value Design to deliver the project 3 months ahead of schedule and $10 million under budget. This project expanded the facility\'s capacity to serve patients, contributing to Atrium Health Pineville\'s fourth consecutive Fortune/IBM Watson Health 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals award.MUSC Children\'s Health R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion:Eli was the lead mechanical, and plumbing engineer for the MUSC Children\'s Health Summey Medical Pavilion. This project features 10 Pediatric Clinical pods, 4 Operating rooms, Urgent Care, and an Imaging Center. The facility was designed around an integrated healthcare delivery model and provides comprehensive care for children from pre-birth to age eighteen. The MEP systems included central medical gas systems, roof mounted air handling units, condensing heating water boilers, and provisions for future expansion.This project expanded MUSC Children\'s Health\'s capacity, contributing the MUSC being awarded accolades in six pediatric services in the 20••••24 Best Children\'s Hospitals survey by U.S. News & World Report.
