ABOUT ELIOT BRADSHAW

My passion has always been people. This passion has manifested in many leadership roles like serving as Scholarship Chair and President of my college sorority and many community service projects like founding an impact initiative to support the Kentucky Children\'s Advocacy Center. However, the communities I want to serve extend beyond my hometown or college sorority. I grew up on two different continents, and I consider myself a global citizen above all else. Still, I did not know exactly how I wanted to use my passion in a career until my sophomore year of college. We discussed dictators and their decision-making in one of my classes, and I had so many questions. Of course, as a political science major, I understood the different pressures they faced within their country. Still, I also wanted to know more about the forces at play within themselves, so I added a psychology major later that week. I spent the rest of my undergraduate career trying to examine global phenomena from multiple perspectives, all while maintaining my 4.0 GPA, working as an undergraduate research assistant under three professors, and working part-time. Now I am pursuing my MS in Terrorism and Homeland Security Policy at American University. I aim to use my interdisciplinary and international experience to pursue a career as an intelligence analyst in the future, and I would love to connect with anyone in security or international affairs.
