Currently a leading member of Pillsbury’s team assisting a nuclear power plant owner / operator with respect to the development and financing of a nuclear power plant in Turkey. Provide legal and strategic advice in structuring and negotiating engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, equipment supply agreements, and nuclear fuel supply agreements. Go-to expert on drafting and negotiating agreements and clauses for protection against liability for nuclear damage.Regularly advise foreign governments, Nuclear Energy Programme Implementing Organizations (NEPIOs) and government-owned utilities on various aspects of developing domestic nuclear power programs, including recommendations regarding compliance with obligations under international conventions, formation of nuclear legal and regulatory regimes and drafting of domestic nuclear legislation. Recognized expert on nuclear trade and export control issues. Has successfully secured dozens of export license approvals for her clients and developed and assisted in implementing export control policies and manuals. Drafted comments on behalf of several clients, including an Ad Hoc Utility Group (AHUG), in response to U.S. Department of Energy’s proposed amendments in 2011 and 2013 to its 10 C.F.R. Part 810 rules. Currently advising a number of entities seeking to deploy Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) with respect to regulatory and transactional matters.Experience with renewables and LNG projects.
