Primary responsibility is to ensure SLA uptime for customer facing cloud services. Secondaryresponsibility is the empowerment of internal engineering teams through ownership of tools +processes, and ingraining SRE culture through the organization. Performed with a focus on direct impact to ARR growth, customer retention, product development, and risk reduction.Day-to-day looks like: incident response in live production environments, leading on-call rotations,maintenance and construction of cloud infrastructure (IAC), development of CI/CD process, documentation, PR reviews, disaster recovery exercises. Further responsibilities include ownership of cloud costs, agile processes like standups and ticketing sprint work, retrospectives and performance reviews, security remediation, etc. Role includes ownership and application of observability tools to ensure uptime, measure performance, and gauge customer experience. Responsible for enablement of logging, metrics, and traces, visualization of service health and usage dashboards, building monitoring suites for new and existing services, guiding product owners in design of SLIs and SLO targets.I lead deep dive sessions, most recently on OTEL tracing, W3C trace format, and the Datadog agentOTLP ingestion model.
