   Responsibilities- Conduct initial project feasibility studies, estimating, project risk analyses, and conceptual, preliminary and detail design work - Partners with Business & Project to perform alternatives analysis - Improve internal design practices for higher safety and quality standards - Provide project design basis memorandum and engineering scope of work - Work with other project stake holders to share & implement best practices - Manage the workflow between TC Energy and external consultants - Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards, internal specifications and local codes - Collaborate and provide engineering support to Project Stakeholders- Identify opportunities for improvement & lessons learned - Identify value engineering opportunities, modify guidelines, new approaches - Secure, select, develop, award engineering contracts- Review contractor invoices and change orders for accuracy and completeness- Support project bid-meetings - Collaborates internally to identify feasible project workspaces - Oversee and track engineering staff to ensure work is executed per plans, contracts, schedules and budgets - Collaborate with drafting and design team to develop, review, and approve deliverables- Provide input to streamline project cost estimates using established guidelines - Engagement of internal stakeholders to provide input & review of engineering deliverables- Facilitate project design reviews during FEED and detailed engineering - Assist with the review and evaluation of scope changes and provide input into procurement support activities - Lead the resolution of technical/engineering issues- Technically support resolution of Non-Conformances- Liaise between Field & Design Engineering to ensure design integrity and support the Project Engineering Closeout Documentation - Identify changes and support management of change process- Contribute to improvement of the company’s project management tools and processes
