ABOUT ELIJAH KAUFMAN
Undergraduate at the University of Michigan pursuing a B.S. in Data Science and Political Science.I’m passionate about utilizing data-driven approaches to inform public policy and government decision-making. Currently, I work as a Data & Policy Fellow at the Michigan Infrastructure Office, where I help support statewide infrastructure initiatives through data analysis, policy research, and financial tracking.My goal is to build a career in public service, applying quantitative methods to address policy challenges and drive meaningful change. On campus, I’ve contributed to grassroots student organizing efforts, including helping lead canvassing, voter outreach, and civic engagement campaigns. I’ve also led projects involving GIS mapping, fundraising, and policy writing.My technical skills include Python, R, SQL, C++, C, Java, HTML/CSS, ArcGIS, Excel, and Power BI.
